2023 Chardonnay
LIMESTONE COAST, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
In 1857 The Koning Willem II foundered on the rocks of the Limestone Coast, after parting with her anchor in a westerly gale. Ari Vandenberg was one of the nine survivors. As he looked back at the wreck that had almost claimed his life, he vowed to tame this wild land and make his mark upon it.
Winemaking
Carefully handled so that the fruit characters are retained; a portion has been fermented in French Oak barrels. Following fermentation, components of the blend undergo MLF to add softness and butterscotch notes.

PALATE
Fresh and vibrant with stone fruit and citrus flavours. Layers of vanilla and butterscotch from oak and malolactic fermentation add complexity which is all melded together by a soft acid backbone.
Aroma
Classic chardonnay aromas of white peach, stone fruits and creamy oak.
